Cistercian Architecture in the 12th century.

70 years stored in the golden gate park did more damage to the stones then 800 years as a structure in Spain.

Arson, neglect and bad handling, left only fragments of the portal capitals.

Large missing fragments I replaced by attaching stone pieces from original wall blocks with stainless steel pins and epoxy.

Smaller chipped carving features I shaped with restoration mortar anchored to the original stone.

The finished stone reveals the beauty of this capitals which graced an age when craftsmen where at the center of Communal live.
